    Slim down — once and for all — with these scientifically proven weight loss strategies.

    To complete this How-To you will need:

    Discipline
    Calorie counts
    Portion control
    Water
    Exercise

    Step 1: Eat only when you’re hungry

    Eat only when you’re hungry, and stop when you’re full. Over time, this can retrain your brain to eat out of hunger, not habit — a key to permanent weight loss. Studies show that much of our eating is done on autopilot.

    Tip: Eat slowly: It takes about 20 minutes for your brain to register fullness.

    Step 2: Avoid addictive foods

    Avoid sweet, salty, and high-fat foods. They’ve been proven more addictive than other foods because they over-stimulate the brain’s reward pathways, making us want to eat more of them.

    Tip: When you have a craving, distract yourself for 15 minutes; by that time, the urge is likely to have passed.

    Step 3: Learn calorie counts

    Know the calorie count of whatever you’re eating. Studies show that people routinely underestimate caloric values, especially when it comes to low-fat foods.

    Step 4: Practice portion control

    Practice portion control. The more food you have on your plate, the more you tend to eat, according to numerous studies.

    Step 5: Out of sight, out of mind

    Keep food out of sight. In one study, people ate 71 percent more candy from a see-through dish than an opaque one. Other studies show that we eat more food if it’s left within our field of vision, so serve yourself the proper portion and then wrap up any leftovers immediately.

    Step 6: Drink up

    Drink more water. Downing six to eight daily glasses of water helps people consume fewer calories — 194 less calories per day to be exact, according to one study.

    Step 7: Move it

    Once you’ve lost your excess weight, keep it off with exercise. Studies show that several hours of physical activity per week is more integral to keeping weight off than it is to losing it in the first place.

    — What simple things can we do to improve our health?

    — As for the diet, I encourage everyone to enjoy delicious whole fruits! Fruit is great for breakfast & for energy! Fruit washes the body clean, and energizes, lubricates & hydrates cells!

    — Citrus is in season during the cold months, so enjoy it when you can! Have 5-8 oranges for breakfast & see how you feel! Or make a glass of fresh orange juice!

    — Salads are full of fiber & are very alkalizing for the body’s tissues! Acidosis & inflammation may become a thing of the past! Think of things like celery, cucumber & lettuce to make a delicious mixed green salad w/ a nice low fat salad dressing!

    — If you focus on having raw, organic, fresh fruits & vegetables + small amounts of nuts & seeds as the basis of your diet you’ll be automatically avoiding so many chemicals that are present in the so-called ‘normal’ foods of today such as soda pop, breads, NON-raw dairy products, processed carbohydrate snacks & sweets. These chemicals may disrupt the function of our bodies, w/ some people ending up overweight, others w/ kidney problems, others w/ psychological problems, etc.

    — Educate your mind on RAW, LIVING FOODS! You do NOT have to be a 100% raw foodist, but I’ve observed that the higher the % of raw, organic fruits & veggies that one eats, the more energy that one’s body is going to have to FUNCTION, as well as to HEAL one’s self!

    — Also, if there’s a juice bar near where you live and/or work, then go to it! Even I go to juice bars regularly!     — The green juices are going to alkalize, hydrate & cleanse out all the old inflamed cells of the body! Try to have at least a juice a day!     — WALKING is important! WALKING IS THE #1 TONER of your BODY & all of its organs & tissues! Also for your mind it helps to process things!     — When you wake up in the morning, a great habit to acquire is to first have a glass of fresh spring water w/ a lemon squeezed into it, which helps to flush out everything thru the kidneys & colon from the night before.

    — Move towards whole, organic & unprocessed food! This change will most likely NOT just happen overnight, so take your time, having cooked foods is okay just have ones that are less processed & that are as natural as possible.

    — Focus on having fruit as your breakfast! Or a smoothie! In a blender just blend together a couple of bananas, a bit of water, a handful of leafy greens like spinach, maybe an apple and/or a tablespoon of a supplement like a green powder and/or a healthy oil like hemp oil. http://BLEND.life-regenerator.com
